When you purchase through links on our site, we may earn an affiliate commission. But will it be this 28-inch Hanns.G HZ281 monitor or its nemesis, the 27-inch Iiyama E2710HDS The Hanns.G obviously squeaks it for acreage. However, the HZ281 also sports a 16:10 aspect ratio to the Iiyamas 16:9.That makes the size differential in square inches even larger, but it also means the HZ281 has more pixels.
But the Hanns.G ups the ante from 1,080 to 1,200 in the vertical. Thats probably just as well given that the HZ281 is over 40 pricier. Were talking TN panels, HDMI, DVI and VGA ports and tilt-only stands all round. Power consumption Watts: maximum approx 170cdm2 lower is better Hanns.G: HZ281: 79W 32W Iiyama E2710HDS: 48W 17W BenQ V2410T: 25W 15W. Ownership: more than 1 year Verified Owner 4 years going strong 342014 7:58:19 AM Pros: Large, relitively cheap, chrisp, no ghosting, hdmi. Cons: WARRANTY LABEL ON THE FACE OF THE MONITOR Overall Review: Honestly my only gripe. What the heck were you guys thinking when you decided to put the warranty void if removed sticker right on the front of the monitor. As soon as the warranty expired, off came the sticker. Ownership: 1 day to 1 week Verified Owner Can you say HUGE 3262014 9:46:55 PM Pros: Amazing picture, once adjusted. No stuck pixels. Yay From a 21.5 AOC monitor to this I dont know how I went so long with out this My wife just rolled her eyes and said boys when I took this thing out of the box. Get this if youre looking for a huge monitor at a VERY good price. At least not as bad as some of the other reviews make it out to be. ![]() Cons: For this price, any cons I could come up with would be nitpicking. Maybe the fact that its a bit of a challenge to switch the input to DVI or HDMI on first power-up Even thats so minor an inconvenience, its barely worth mentioning. You wont find a bigger or better monitor for this price anywhere 2 out of 2 people found this review helpful. Ownership: 1 day to 1 week Verified Owner 11142013 11:12:48 PM Pros: Colors are clear. Bright, but no washed out colors Cons: A slight mismatch with the HL272 Overall Review: Including this new purchase, I have three Hanns-G monitors setup in a widescreen resolution on my gaming PC. The HL273 sits between two HL272s and looking at the specs for the HL273 online, I noted only one difference between the monitors. After the HL273 arrived and I set it up, I picked up on another couple differences between the Hanns-G HL272. Ownership: 1 month to 1 year Verified Owner Hannspree Customer Service 9292015 7:30:56 AM Pros: None Cons: If you own any monitor made by Hannspree, hopefully, you will never need service. I purchased two monitors, one of which developed an issue, and was returned for service to the Hannspree Repair in Ontario, CA. Initial email stated that the monitor would be returned in 7-10 business days. Once this time period had expired, I contacted Hannspree CS and was told that a part was on order, but the monitor would be repaired and shipped in 2-3 business days. Im sure that anyone who has dealt with none responsive customer service, knows the drill from this point on. No monitor, difficulty with customer service, broken promises, and a handbook of excuses.
